AOH Joe Cahill Division 10
Division 10 was chartered on May 27, 2006 in Mercer County, New Jersey in the spirit of Friendship, Unity and Christian Charity. The charter member officers were President -Michael James "Jimmy" Walsh, Vice President -Thomas J "Joe" Connell, Recording Secretary -Don Carroll, Financial Secretary -Robert Fox and Treasurer -Michael "Mick" McCabe. With two officers born in Ireland, Irish culture was a thread woven into the fabric of Mercer's newest Division. In the late 1800s, Trenton was home to no less then eight Divisions but had fallen to just one by the 1950s. In short order, Joe Cahill Division 10 created the Gael Scoil. The McCabe brothers, Mick and Gabe, spearheaded an initiative for the youth of Mercer County to learn about the Gaelic language, sports and food, just like they had growing up in County Leitrim.
