Dear Sponsor,
Thank you for your continued support of our golf tournament over the years. Your contribution ensures the continued efforts of our fundraising goals are not only met but exceeded while golfers enjoy a day on the links. On Friday October 9th, 2026, the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Joe Cahill, Division 10 and the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians Mathair Gael Division 10 will be holding our 17th Annual Golf Tournament. Proceeds from this year’s tournament will benefit the City Of Angels NJ, Inc. Gael Scoil and the Billy Briggs Memorial Scholarship Foundation.
City of Angels was founded in January of 2009 after identifying the needs in the community of the addicted and their families for increased support, interventions and referrals. At COA, they offer support with the hope that they may be able to give people calm guidance as they approach the daily challenges faced by those affected with addictions.
The Gael Scoil is a two-day educational program that immerses children aged 6 to 15 in Irish culture. Participants engage in classes covering topics such as food, history, language, music, dance, and sports. Our expert instructors include local volunteers, musicians, championship dancers, university professors, and authors. Over seventeen years ago, the Gael Scoil initiative was launched. Since its inception, the program has experienced continuous growth and transformation. Each year, it attracts new students, and its dynamic curriculum goes beyond parades and leprechauns to teach children about the rich tapestry of Ireland. In today’s interconnected world, where children can connect globally through social media at their fingertips, the Gael Scoil plays a vital role. It ensures that Ireland’s history and culture are not forgotten, providing essential education to our young learners.
The Billy Briggs Memorial Scholarship program provides a once- in-a-lifetime educational opportunity for students, ages 15-17 who are interested in exploring, enhancing, and celebrating their Irish culture. It is designed to educate students in the Irish Language and Culture through a three-week program that is held each summer at the Coláiste Gael Linn Irish Cultural College in County Donegal.
